Fundraising

The writing has picked up again and is going great. I had a dialogue break-through.

The fundraising thing is a little odd for me - but I have lots of support and help. Thanks to all my friends who are excited about the project and willing to invest their time an energy in it because they believe in me.

Writer's Blog...er...block

Sometimes I go through these phases where I spend a lot of time reading and watching movies - appreciating the art and genius of others - a wonderful past time, yes - but it doesn't help writer's block.

There are a lot of films that inspire me to want to create and most of the time that translates into writing.

I'm working on these two screenplays that Adria & I are filming in the August - September time frame. The overall stories and storyboarding are going great - the dialogue not so great. The funny thing about this is that Adria & I have amazing conversations. I go all day talking to friends and family that are intelligent, clever and fun. The conversations that result are interesting and would probably bring a few laughs on the big screen - but its a lot harder to write down dialogue that doesn't sound completely craxy when you read it out loud.

Low-rise Jeans

Why is this the only thing they sell for women?

I am so tired of seeing butt-cracks and fat rolls over jeans that aren't really fat rolls, but sexy women's hips made to look like fat rolls by designers who think women shouldn't have curves.

I thought this fad would last a year maybe - but the women of America have made it a long lasting one with such staggering results as to prevent me from ever covering my ass again when I sit down.

I hate fashion designers.
